Expressiones proudly presents the first solo exhibition of artist-in-residence Verónica Ximénez. Born in 1971 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and a graduate of the University of Guadalajara, Ximénez has made painting her primary tool of expression. Her work translates emotion through gesture, imprint, color, and texture, all stemming from her inner and outer turmoil. Her themes—landscape, nature, urban scenes, color, and abstract forms—may appear simple but are imbued with an intensity and complexity that transcend her refined technique. Ximénez’s art delves into inner worlds, creating a dynamic tension with the external world. The result is a body of work that, while elegant and visually stunning, is deeply charged with drama, gesturalism, and profound reflection.
