Iliana tells us, "Fragments and Fractals" is an exhibition that explores the relationship between language, memory, and geometry, connecting the abstract with the tangible. Through the Hilbert fractal curve, I invite the viewer to reflect on how memories and meanings transform over time. The installation includes modular pieces of ceramics and paper, with texts in three languages arranged following the fractal curve. These pieces, which evoke huacas and archaeological excavations, suggest that memory and history are fragments subject to constant reinterpretation, allowing the viewer to reconfigure their order and create new meanings. In parallel, I present the video "Threshold," which, through text and rhythm, evokes a moment of profound transition. Additionally, Totem, a geometric structure based on the Hilbert fractal pattern, is crafted in ceramics with rustic textures and finishes, highlighting the connection between mathematical precision and the immateriality of craftsmanship. Finally, a series of organic and geometric ceramic pieces explores the freedom of forms, merging the structured with the spontaneous. These works invite reflection on the very nature of creation, where the planned and the improvised coexist in balance.
