Expressiones Cultural Center is proud to present “NOMADS,” a solo exhibition by the Hondurean artist Mary Morales. This marks the first time Morales is showcasing her work in the United States.
“Nomads” is Morales’s third project centered around the theme of migration and transit. Through her art, she captures the essence of spiritual transformation and adaptation inherent in the migrant journey. Water, a constant presence in her work, symbolizes this ever-changing movement. Along the migrant route, bodies of water—such as the Suchiate River, the Rio Grande, and the Tijuana Sea—become companions on the path. Morales’s paintings depict not just individuals, but the collective experience of all who journey, struggle, and dream.
Join us for an unforgettable exploration of collective memory, displacement, and resilience. Mary Morales’s “Nomads” invites viewers to reflect on the beauty and struggles of migration.
